On Memorial Day, we honor the heroes who have laid down their lives in the cause of freedom, resolve that they will forever be remembered by a grateful Nation, and pray that our country may always prove worthy of the sacrifices they have made.
Throughout our Nation's history, our course has been secured by brave Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen. These courageous and selfless warriors have stepped forward to protect the Nation they love, fight for America's highest ideals, and show millions that a future of liberty is possible. Freedoms come at great costs, yet the world has been transformed in unimaginable ways because of the noble service and devotion to duty of these brave individuals. Our country honors the sacrifice made by those who have given their lives to spread the blessings of liberty and lay the foundations of peace, and we mourn their loss.

May 16, 2009 - Today is Armed Forces Day, and I have a question for you.
A friend or neighbor leaves his family to go off and protect your family. Morally what you should do for him, for her?
Over 90% of us have never served in the military. I am one of them, representative of the rest. And on behalf of all of those our troops protect, I am here to thank the troops for all they do.
The load which the troops and their families carry is our load. Your load. This writer's load. Our kids. They carry it for us. For you. For me. For them.
The time is right to stand for those who stand for all of us. To carry the load together with them.To publicly stand up for them. To thank them.
So who are you? What are you made of? What do others think?
Well, our time has come. Our time is now. Your time is now. The time is incumbent to form a new relationship with our fellows who serve in the military to protect us and our families. Your family. My family. All our families.
These folks go half way around the world to many different places to look out for our liberties, livelihoods, and businesses, -- and have families at home while they do. And in return we citizens and our great American companies need to look out for them and theirs. Time is precious to the troops and their families, and every day an eternity. Tomorrow is not always soon enough, and time is always of the essence in doing all we can for them.
The time is now to do for them that do for us, those who preserve our liberties, livelihoods, and businesses.

SupportOurTroops.org will on March 19, 2008 make the first shipment of the TONS of free popcorn treats to the troops all around the entire world. A special Popcorn Media Area will be opened on this site to post news related to this major event, and to provide information for those in the media interested in telling America good news relating to the troops. With each shipment we will issue an electronic press release via a national dissemination service to newspapers, television, radio, and magazines across the entire nation, and those releases will be also be posted in the Popcorn Media Area. When those releases commence, the assistance of all, including you personally with your email list, is kindly requested in spreading them as far as possible via email and such other means as you may have available. It is right and proper that Americans know what a good thing they have done for their troops, who made it possible, and why.

A Study on the Relationship Between Media Reporting and the Enemy
By Alex Kingsbury
March 12, 2008
U.S. News & World Report
The question has often been asked whether there is a causal relationship between media reporting expressing dissent or calling for withdrawals, and the actions of the enemy against us in Iraq. A pair of Harvard economists has completed a study of that and made certain findings. Learn More.
