Dear Billy and Kevin, I want you to know how much I Love and miss you! I think of you every minute of every day I am here in Iraq. Your pictures are in my hat, my helmet, on the windshield of the HMMWV I drive through Tikrit everyday and all over the walls of my CHU. I would also like to thank all the wonderful Americans who may not support the politicians, but never falter to let their Military personnel know they care. The packages we receive are like Christmas presents. I respond to everyone who puts a note in a box I get if they put ayway to contact them. email, snailmail, whatever. Hello everyone...this is my second tour here in Iraq and it gives me a very good feeling to know that there folks back in the states that have redirected their negatives views on the war to positive support of our troops, US, the men and women of our great nation. In coming over here, I learned about how generous and supportive people are. My church from back home prays for me every day and freshmen from my high school have sent care packages. I wish every service member over here could get support like that. I'm stationed in a fairly quiet section of Iraq, but I have traveled to other bases where Soldiers go out on missions almost every day. Those are the ones who need the most support, and sometimes I feel a little guilty that I have it pretty easy compared to them. Right now I am sitting in tent in Iraq. I am normally a member of the MDANG. I am serving a rotation in Iraq. All of the messages that I have read on site are pretty amazing and I want you all to know that the fire fighters I am so privileged to lead and I are truly touched by your messages. Thank you. All of the American and Coalition troops are the most terrific people it has been my honor to meet. But, I have to tell you all about the Fire Dawgs I serve with. From the Air National Guard and Active Duty Air Force, they are truly the most amazing bunch of young people I have ever been around. People have asked me why I don't retire with all of the time I have in the military. Well, I could retire and go to Florida and play shuffleboard or I can stay in and hang out with the finest young people America has to offer the world. It is kind of a no-brainer. Hi, my name is PFC Hall. I have been in the military for a little bit over two years. I'm currently serving at my 2nd duty station which is USAG Humphreys,S. Korea. I just wanted to say that I appreciate all the support from everyone. Everyone underestimates what all we have to go through on a daily basis. Getting support from you all makes it worth it and makes me even prouder to wear my uniform. This is soemthing I have wanted to do since I was in the 3rd grade. I can't see me doing anything else. We are always soliciting, receiving and shipping forward items which have been specifically requested by the troops. Especially outside the established holidays. Who are these "troops"?
